Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Program to Begin Fall 2020
Elite Teachers Institute, a teacher preparation program, located in New Orleans, LA has earned approval by the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) to offer early childhood coursework that leads to an Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate.
As of July 2019, all lead teachers at Type III childcare centers must obtain CDA coursework from a BESE-approved program. Earning your Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential prepares teachers for a successful career in early childhood education industry, as a teacher and beyond.
Elite Teachers Institute offers 7-month cohorts, featuring a hybrid model that includes blended web-based modules, in-person Saturday classes, coaching, and applied practice. ETI will service Orleans, St. Bernard, and St. Tammany parishes.
ETI'S managing partners Kristi Givens and Rochelle Wilcox, are local leaders in Early Childhood Industry in Louisiana. They bring more than 40 years of combined experience in early care and education instruction and leadership. Kristi Givens, is the founder and executive director of Kids of Excellence, two NAEYC accredited high-quality early learning centers located in New Orleans, LA. Rochelle Wilcox, is the founder and executive director of Wilcox Academy Early Learning Center, three 4 star centers, rated by the Quality Rated System administered by the Louisiana Department of Education.
Elite Teachers Institute is looking for qualified applicants and partners in Orleans, St. Bernard, and St. Tammy Parish for our Fall 2020 cohort, to begin in October 2020.
